Dr. Partha Pratim Paul is an experienced pediatrician and pediatric nephrologist with over eight years of post-MD experience, including three years of specialization in pediatric nephrology.
He completed his MBBS from Bankura Sammilani Medical College under W.B.U.H.S, followed by MD in Pediatrics from the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER), Kolkata, one of Eastern India’s premier institutes and referral centers. During his postgraduate training, he gained extensive experience in NICU and PICU care, working with advanced equipment including mechanical ventilation, HFOV, HHFNC, and NIV.
Dr. Partha further pursued a Fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology from Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Bengaluru, under RGUHS, where he acquired in-depth expertise in managing complex nephrotic syndrome in children, complicated urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, childhood chronic kidney disease, and pediatric renal transplants. His clinical skills include renal biopsies, acute and chronic peritoneal dialysis, intermittent hemodialysis, SLED, CRRT, and therapeutic plasma exchange.
He has served in various capacities, including Senior Resident in Pediatric Critical Care at top hospitals in India, where he managed critically ill children and trained postgraduate residents. He has also contributed to rural healthcare during his tenure as a consultant pediatrician in Jhargram, West Bengal. Currently, Dr. Partha practices as a visiting Pediatrician in Bangalore at renowned hospitals around the city.
Dr. Partha has actively participated in numerous workshops and training programs, including pediatric intensive care, ventilation, neonatal cardiology, and pediatric gastroenterology. His research work has been published in reputed medical journals, covering topics such as acute disseminated encephalomyelitis in children, immunoadsorption plasmapheresis for infant organ transplants, and treatment strategies for resistant pediatric nephrotic syndromes.
Recognized for his academic excellence, he has received awards including first prizes at WBAP and East Zonal PEDICON conferences. Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Partha is actively involved in community service, having conducted first aid training programs for school teachers.
